Who's Who at CULTEC

    Robert DiTullio, Sr. - C.E.O. & Founder

Bob DiTullio, Sr.
 

Robert (Bob) DiTullio is the founder and current CEO of Cultec, Inc. He is a graduate of Norwalk State Technical Institute with a major in Chemical Engineering.

For several years following college Bob was employed as Chemist and Research Scientist for a major pharmaceutical company; specializing in biochemistry and immunology.

In the late 1960s, Bob went to work for a family business owned by his father and uncle that was involved in building and construction, pre-cast concrete, and excavation. He managed the pre-cast concrete segment of the business and was company Treasurer. In 1974 he started Eastern Precast Company in Brookfield, CT.

In 1982 Bob proposed the idea of a plastic drainage chamber to the State of Connecticut with the intention of obtaining acceptance for the product.  After three years of designing and prototyping, the first high capacity plastic drainage chamber capable of supporting traffic loading, was introduced to the industry. CULTEC, Inc. was incorporated in 1988. Bob continues to design Cultec’s storm water management and septic chambers, distribution systems and water quality structures and holds several patents.

Bob is married to his wife Christina. He has six children and lives in Northwestern Connecticut.

Bob DiTullio, Jr.  

Bob DiTullio Jr. is currently the President of CULTEC, Inc. He has over 20 years experience in the septic and stormwater industry. Bob attended both the University of CT and Western Connecticut State University.

Bob has been involved in all positions of CULTEC, Inc. from the start giving him the knowledge of all aspects of the company. 

As the company’s Production Manager his daily duties include, overseeing sales, production and purchasing and shipping.

Bob has been effective in opening new territories, distributors, and developing relationships with Vendors.

Bob is the son of CULTEC’s CEO Bob DiTullio, Sr. He is married, has two sons and two Labs and enjoys living in the Northwest corner of CT.

     
    Gina Carolan - C.O.O. & Director of Marketing
 Gina Carolan  

Gina Carolan is currently the C.O.O. and Director of Marketing for CULTEC, Inc. Gina has been with the CULTEC since its inception in 1986. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a major in Marketing and Communications.

Starting out as the company’s receptionist, Gina transitioned to a marketing position and created the corporation’s first technical manual and other literature and promotional pieces. She later became a Technical Specialist and designed CULTEC’s Stormwater Design Calculator and formed alliances with several hydraulic modeling software companies. Also in this role, Gina’s responsibilities included calculating and assisting in the design of CULTEC’s stormwater & septic systems, technical support and quoting projects.

Gina undertook the duty of Production Manager for approximately two years overseeing the manufacturing and shipment of CULTEC’s products.

She served as CULTEC’s Corporate Secretary from 1991 – 1995 and President from 1995-2006. After having her daughter in 2006, Gina has taken on the role of C.O.O. and Director of Marketing. Gina had the inspiration for and headed the creation of CULTEC’s StormGenie Automated Drawing Program. Typical functions include website management, conceptualizing literature pieces, and the creation of new design tools, alliances and technical manuals.

Gina is the daughter of CULTEC’s CEO Bob DiTullio, Sr. she is married, has a daughter and lives in the Northwest corner of CT.

     
    Christina DiTullio - C.F.O.
 Chris DiTullio  

As C.F.O for more than ten years, Chris proactively manages the financial aspects of CULTEC. She also oversees the Human Resource department, as well as the company’s legal/compliance matters, which includes protecting the company’s intellectual property.

Chris works closely with companies small and large to build trusting, long-term customer relationships from the onset of establishing an account to maintaining existing customer satisfaction.


Since 1989, Chris has worked in all facets of the business, such as to obtain local, state and regulatory product approvals throughout the U.S. and Canada, initiated the Company’s certification program, and conducted patent/trademark work. Additionally, for a number of years Chris handled the company’s media, promotion and marketing efforts, as Director of Marketing, and has also served as C.O.O.


Previously, Chris managed a security company located in the Danbury, CT area for roughly five years having approximately 150 employees, requiring DOD Clearance processing.   


Chris grew up on her family’s Holstein Dairy Farm in So. VT and owned several horses over the years.  She received her education in accounting, finance and business law in upstate NY and So. VT with original aspirations of working as a paralegal.

Happily married to her husband, Bob DiTullio, Sr., she has three daughters, an extended family and enjoys spending quality time with all of them.

     
    Fred Dotson - Vice President
    Fred Dotson has been with Cultec, Inc. since 1997.  Working his way up from the bottom has given him experience in every facet of the business.  Fred has been instrumental in helping CULTEC develop a strong presence in the engineering community along with establishing long term customer relationships with dealers and distributors around the country.  
     
    John DiTullio - Vice President of Sales
 John DiTullio  

John DiTullio is the current Vice President of Sales for CULTEC, Inc.  He has a strong background in the construction industry as both a supplier and hands-on professional. John began working with CULTEC in 1986 when the company was formed.

In 1994, John started his own construction remodeling business serving the affluent clientele of lower Fairfield County Connecticut for the next twelve years. His construction background allows him to see projects from a contractor’s viewpoint and is helpful in making realistic and timely decisions for job layouts and installation.

He rejoined the CULTEC team and has taken on the responsibilities of setting up and supporting new accounts and assisting in the education and design of CULTEC’s stormwater management and septic products.

John has a BSBA in Business Management and Marketing. He is also a member of the Home Builders Association.

John has four children and resides in Norwalk, Connecticut.

     
    Roman Baca - Technical Specialist
 Roman Baca  

Roman Baca is a Technical Specialist with CULTEC, Inc.  Roman has more than 8 years of professional experience in surveying and land development and 4 years in Stormwater Management. 

Prior to starting his position as CULTEC’s Technical Specialist, Roman worked in the Technical Department as a CAD Technician and 3-D modeler.  In this role, Roman was responsible for calculating, designing, troubleshooting and offering technical support for underground stormwater systems. 

Before joining CULTEC in 2005, Roman spent 8 years as a United States Marine and served in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq from 2005-2006.

Roman’s primary focus is to meet with Engineering Firms, Property Development Firms, Large Construction General Contracting Companies and Architecture Firms to assist and support the design of Stormwater BMP’s.

   
    Alicia Messina - Technical Supervisor
 Alicia Messina  

Alicia Messina, Technical Supervisor, has been part of the CULTEC team since 2005. She graduated Porter and Chester Institute in 2006 with a degree in Architectural Drafting and Engineering with plans on returning to school for a degree in Civil Engineering in the future.

Alicia provides 8 years of design experience in both the residential and commercial field and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CULTEC’s design department. Her main focus is to be aware of all incoming and outgoing projects as well as producing stormwater management calculations, designing system layouts, product details and providing technical and design assistance.


In her free time, Alicia loves to study all fields of art and design. She currently resides in Danbury, CT with her family and her pug, Roxy.

     
    Michelle Zwick – Staff Engineer


Michelle Zwick

 

Michelle Zwick has been a staff engineer for CULTEC Inc. since early 2006. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering. 

While working towards her degree, Michelle began her engineering career as an intern in the Environmental Division at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI.  Upon graduation of college, Michelle accepted a position in the Technical Department at Infiltrator Systems Inc.  Her roles included assisting homeowners and guiding regulators in septic system and stormwater design.

Michelle then took a position with a competitor chamber company.  In this role, Michelle’s responsibilities included assisting designers with the sizing and design of stormwater systems.  She has over 10 years of experience in the stormwater and septic chamber fields. 

Currently at CULTEC, Michelle’s typical functions include stormwater design and standard research and compliance.  Michelle serves on multiple technical committees, including those in the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB).  In these committees, she works with industry leaders in the fields of underground structures and stormwater design to create and maintain safe and fair industry standards.

Michelle resides in Hartford County, Connecticut with her husband and two children.

     
    Stephanie del Campo - AutoCAD Technician
 Stephanie Delcampo  

Stephanie del Campo came to CULTEC in 2008 as an AutoCAD Technician. Stephanie brings 10 years of experience in working with computer aided design, having professional experience in several areas including mechanical drafting, architecture, product design, and interior design.

Stephanie holds a BFA from Paier College of Art and has taken courses at NYU. Prior to starting at CULTEC, she worked as a draftsperson for a commercial real estate developer and as an interior designer for a design firm in Fairfield County where she was responsible for creating intricate millwork detail drawings and full construction drawing sets for renovations and additions of residential projects.

At CULTEC, Stephanie is responsible for producing system calculations and layouts for individual projects, providing telephone and email tech support, as well as collaborating with the other members of the Technical Department in maintaining updated details, information, and archives on all CULTEC products.

     
    Lisa Lynch - Customer Service Representative

Lisa joined CULTEC in April 2009 as a customer service representative.
 
Prior to coming to CULTEC, Lisa attended Central Connecticut State University. She worked at Ability Beyond Disability (DATAHR) for 9 years assisting physically and mentally challenged individuals with day-to-day living skills in a home setting. Lisa also solely owned and operated a successful home based gift basket business for 10 years while raising her children.

Lisa is the oldest daughter of CULTEC's CEO Bob DiTullio, Sr. and has served with the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Departments' Ladies Auxiliary, Burnham School PTO and the Shepaug Valley Pony Club. She and her husband live in Bridgewater, CT with their three children and a menagerie of animals.

     
    Ted McCarter - SE Region Specialist
 Ted McCarter  

Ted McCarter is currently the Southeast Region Specialist, having over 10 years in stormwater management design. Responsibilities include engineering design and Cultec specifications; product and design approvals with city, county and state regulators.

A graduate of the University of  North Carolina, with degrees in English and Psychology. Worked 23 years for Eastern Airline in Sales and Service. Sales and Marketing for two other companies in the gaming industries.

Resides in Peachtree City, Georgia with his wife of 31years Karen, two adult sons also live in Georgia.

     
    Bob Goodrich - NE Region Specialist
   

Bob Goodrich was hired as the NE Region Specialist in May 2011 and brings to the CULTEC team over 20 years of sales experience in the utility distribution field.  He attended Roger Williams and Bryant University.  Bob spent 15 years as Sales Manager for Red Hed Supply, Lincoln, RI and 5 years as Product Specialist at Easton Winwater. 
 
Besides camping and playing golf, Bob is an avid Boston sports fan, rooting for the Red Sox, NE Patriots, and Boston Bruins. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Rhode Island and enjoy spending time with their two grown sons and their families.  Last count, 5 young grandchildren.
